Snow is not something you would expect to find when visiting Spain’s sunny cities, but once you see it covering the old streets, lively plazas, and mighty cathedrals formerly basked in glorious Mediterranean sunshine, you’ll be glad it’s there.
From balmy Barcelona and summery Palma de Mallorca to Madrid, which sizzles in intense heat waves during July and August, here’s how the beautiful Spanish cities and towns look like in winter, when snow falls.
